This Japanese Rice Bowl blows away all when it comes to design and style. I have yet to see one more beautiful that this. Definitely from Japan and evokes the Arts and Crafts movement of Europe and the USA back in the 1900's. The exterior is a celydone crackle finish while the inner is a midnight green which display the flowers - all in a high gloss glaze. My educated guess is from the 1940 to 1950 period. Piece is in excellent condition.
