Handcrafted using traditional rug-hooking techniques, this delightful textile features a muted palette of dusty rose, sage green, warm taupe, ivory, and black, accented by a vibrant red border. The wonderfully naive animal imagery and ornate framing give the piece a distinctive primitive Americana character.

The rug displays significant age-related wear, including areas of missing and loosened hooked fibers, particularly through the central design. Its weathered surface and timeworn character make it especially appealing as a decorative folk art textile, ideal for wall display, framing, or incorporation into a collected antique interior.

A wonderfully expressive example of traditional American-style textile folk art, offered in as-found condition. See less
