A flawless triumph of late-90s Italian neo-futurism, the Bombo stool is globally revered for its sculptural, organic fluid lines and uncompromising ergonomic comfort.
Crafted in Italy, each stool features an injection-molded, highly durable ABS matte grey seat that cradles the body effortlessly. The sculptural seat is anchored by a heavy-duty, brilliant chrome-plated steel pedestal base. A built-in pneumatic gas-lift system provides seamless, custom height adjustment via an integrated underside lever. This pair is equipped with the signature wrap-around matching chrome footrest that rotates in lockstep with the swivel mechanism, ensuring a comfortable seat at standard counter or tall bar heights. Bearing original manufacturer factory markings and safety instruction labels molded cleanly onto the undersides of the bases, this set stands as a fully verified, authentic classic of contemporary Italian furniture design.
Retail Value Comparison
This offering presents a phenomenal opportunity to acquire an investment-grade contemporary design classic at a fraction of its original cost. Authentic, newly manufactured Magis Bombo adjustable stools currently command a retail price of approximately $1,100 per stool, bringing a brand-new retail pair to $2,200 before taxes and international shipping. Pristine, showroom-ready secondary market examples like this pair offer timeless architectural style and high-end Italian craftsmanship with significant savings.
Operation & Height Adjustment
The internal pneumatic pistons function beautifully, allowing for a fully customized seating layout. To adjust the height, simply lift the sleek, integrated chrome lever located tucked discreetly just under the side of the seat mold. The smooth gas-lift mechanism glides effortlessly down to a 20" counter height under weight, or rises gently up to a maximum 29" height for taller bar layouts. The full 360-degree swivel mechanism rotates cleanly without friction, resistance, or squeaking.
Materials & Care
• Seat Shell: Premium injection-molded ABS polymer with a sleek matte grey finish. This high-grade engineering plastic offers excellent impact resistance, rigidity, and easy-to-clean durability.
• Base & Column: Heavy-duty chromed steel with a brilliant, high-polish finish providing strong stability.
• Seat Maintenance: Clean the ABS seat shell surface using alcohol-based substances only to preserve its color and texture.
• Column Maintenance: Periodically apply vaseline oil to lubricate the sliding telescoping column and protect the chrome components for smooth height adjustment.

Condition
Like new condition. Pristine architectural showpieces. The matte grey ABS seats are immaculate with no signs of wear, fading, or discoloration. The chrome-plated steel columns and bases are incredibly bright, polished, and entirely free of pitting, oxidation, or cloudiness. The integrated gas-piston lifts engage smoothly and maintain their full height extension perfectly under weight.
