Originating from Nepal, this decorative lock pairs the auspicious fish motif (a traditional symbol of abundance and good fortune in South Asian and East Asian culture) with an authentic locking function.

The fish body is richly detailed with fine, hand-chased scale texture, and a graceful metal lock bow arches from the mouth, complete with two vintage-style keys. When displayed upright, it reads as a striking sculptural object; the working lock adds a layer of curiosity and conversation to any shelf, console, or collector's case.

A wonderful accent for an eclectic living room, study, or Asian antiques collection — equally suited as a thoughtful decorative gift.
