This Italian Rare 20th Century Coastal Organic Rattan Center Table.
Exhibiting exceptional Italian craftsmanship and striking structural form, this rare 1970s coastal organic rattan center table seamlessly bridges high-end European design with relaxed tropical elegance.
The piece is defined by its dramatic, sculptural pedestal base, masterfully constructed from sturdy, bent natural rattan poles configured in a striking open-weave trellis pattern.
The base flares gracefully outward into a wide, sweeping apron that perfectly carries a thick, circular original smoked glass tabletop.
This transparent surface invites the eye downward, transforming the masterfully executed organic framework into a visual centerpiece.
Enormously versatile in scale, this vintage statement piece functions beautifully as a commanding center table in a grand foyer or gallery entryway, or as an intimate, sophisticated breakfast nook and dining table. Its warm honey-toned patina and architectural silhouette make it an exceptional acquisition for curated coastal modern, Hollywood Regency, or organic minimalist interiors.
