Hawkes & Co. crystal compote with floral etching and a sterling silver pedestal base, tentatively dated to the 1930s. Its traditional floral decoration and shallow bowl suit a dining table, console or cabinet display.

Flowers, trailing leaves and scrolling accents encircle the broad rim, framing the shallow center. The stepped circular foot balances the wide bowl within a compact, 4.5-inch-high profile. The underside is stamped HAWKES, STERLING and 44 PWTS; the stamped weight notation is distinct from the complete item's weight of 2 pounds.
