This antique 5-piece Bavarian porcelain tea and serving set is unified by a stunning, lush botanical theme celebrating ripe vineyard harvests. Hand-painted by renowned artist A. Koch on fine porcelain blanks produced by J&C (Jäger & Co.) Bavaria in the "Louise" pattern line (c. 1898–1923), the collection showcases masterwork grape motifs with an incredible sense of depth and realism.
The set features rich, heavy clusters of plump purple, ruby, and translucent green grapes weighed down on textured vines. Each piece displays a unique, dramatic background color gradient that shifts from warm terracotta-peach and soft moss yellow to a moody, deep forest green and teal, creating a vibrant contrast against the frosted, sun-dappled grape clusters. Each background reminiscent of the sun’s path across the sky; sunrise, midday and blue waters at dusk. Black berry accents and scalloped gilded rims complete the artistic vision.
Set Includes (5 Pieces Total):
• 2 Large Serving Plates (Featuring lush purple and green grape clusters set against dramatic terracotta/apricot and deep forest/teal background washes; 8.5" diameter)
• 1 Small Serving Plate (Showcasing vibrant cascading grapes on a soft moss yellow-green background; 6.25" diameter)
• 1 Covered Sugar Bowl with Original Lid (Adorned with continuous grape and berry motifs; 4.75" W × 4" D × 3.75" H)
• 1 Creamer Pitcher (Featuring matching trailing grape vines; 4" W × 2.75" D × 2.85" H)
