It … Read more This item is a vintage mid-century valet chair (also frequently referred to as a butler chair) of Italian origin. It features an ebonized (black) wooden frame. It is designed to organize clothing and personal accessories for the next day, keeping garments wrinkle-free. The integrated coat hanger at the top serves as a jacket hanger. The accessory tray will hold keys or cufflinks. The trouser bar is the horizontal rung across the frame to drape trousers, ties or belts. The rush woven cord base provides a sturdy surface to sit on while putting on socks and shoes. This item was owned by my grandfather and then my father. Dad kept it beside his bed for years just to drape his jammies so they'd be in easy reach at bedtime.

This item is in great condition with minor flaws. There is a larger white rub mark on one leg (see picture). And small marks on other legs. And one corner of the seat has a loose cord (see picture) See less
