A French art pottery vessel by Louis Dage featuring a richly mottled white ground overlaid with dramatic flowing crimson and oxblood flambé glazes. Marked "Made in France" and signed "L. Dage," The hand-thrown form is enhanced by the spontaneous movement of the glaze, creating a dynamic balance between controlled craftsmanship and organic surface effects. Produced in France during the 1930s, the vessel reflects the Art Deco era's embrace of sculptural simplicity and experimental ceramic finishes. The piece is an excellent example of the artist's celebrated studio pottery, prized for its expressive glazes and refined forms.
From a private collection. Dimensions: 8.5"h x 8"w x 8"d. In good vintage condition.
