The richly carved frame is adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves, floral details, and an elaborate pierced crest, creating the graceful silhouette associated with traditional Italian decorative arts.

Finished in a warm gold-toned gilding, the frame displays beautifully sculpted foliate ornamentation that rises to a dramatic acanthus crown at the top. The shaped outline and fluid carving draw inspiration from Rococo and Baroque precedents, while the hand-finished surface lends depth and character to the piece.

Years of gentle wear have softened the gilded finish, revealing hints of the traditional red bole ground beneath on the highest points of the carving. This natural aging enhances the mirror's decorative appeal and highlights the intricate craftsmanship of the frame.
A versatile accent for an entry hall, bedroom, powder room, or living space, this mirror brings warmth, texture, and timeless Italian elegance to both classic and eclectic interiors.

Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Losses and rubbing to the gilded finish on the raised areas reveal the red ground beneath, contributing to an attractive patinated appearance. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use. See less
