This is an iconic multi-tier space-saving accent table originally designed during the late 20th century. It features four circular glass shelves with a distinctive grey/brown smoked tint, each encased in a tubular, polished brass-plated metal frame.
The defining element of this design is its mechanical articulation: three of the top shelves are built on side swivels or pivot hinges. This engineering allows you to fully fan the table out to dramatically increase surface area when entertaining, or stack them completely vertically into a compact, singular cylinder to conserve floor space. Its blend of geometric form and metallic shine perfectly captures the Mid-Century Modern and Hollywood Regency aesthetics.

While Baughman famously pioneered this specific fanning/swiveling glass design for manufacturers like the Design Institute of America (DIA), many identical or very similar variants were produced by other high-end contemporary European and American manufacturers during the 1970s and 1980s
Very good vintage condition, consistent with age and use.. See less
