They are the works of Cristobal Balenciaga and Lucien Lelong. They date to 1931 and were for classic operas, Goyescas and Sapho. These have an unusual soft nuanced quality, a bit dreamlike and ethereal. Note the delicacy and airy feeling they evoke. The head-dresses and the accessories endhance the magial and enchanting mood of the operas. Done is gray and "hot" pink colors and set on an off-white tone, they create a wonderful mood for the viewer. Theater costume design prints are highly desireable and collectible for collectors, especially those by iconic designers. This pair is in clean, pristine condition. They are 9 x 12 inches in size.
