Dark, near-black rectangular forms interlock against a pale, chalky gray-blue ground, and the shapes step across the canvas like a stylized skyline or abstract architecture. At the center, a column of vertical strokes in crimson, teal, emerald, and violet runs down through the black. The color glows like light through a dark doorway. The paint is applied in thick, confident, palette-knife-like swipes, with visible texture and scraped edges where the pale ground breaks through. A red signature appears at the lower left. A woven linen-tone mat surrounds the canvas, edged in a fine gilt liner with a tiny rope-style inner border.
