Carved from richly veined marble, it displays a harmonious blend of cream and gray tones punctuated by darker veining that gives the stone depth and movement. The slender shaft rises to a square capital that is subtly stepped, creating a graceful visual transition and a stable, level surface for display. Its clean architectural lines and refined proportions reflect the classical vocabulary of columns and plinths, translated into a form that feels at home in both traditional and contemporary interiors. At 37.5 inches tall, the pedestal is ideal for elevating a bust, sculpture, urn or potted plant, bringing artwork to eye level and adding height to a room. It works well flanking a doorway, anchoring the corner of a living room or framing a fireplace, and makes a striking standalone statement piece in an entry hall or gallery-style setting. Used in pairs, it can also create a sense of symmetry and formality.

The pedestal measures 12 inches wide, 12 inches deep and 37.5 inches high. It is in very good vintage condition. The marble shows a well-preserved surface with a natural patina consistent with age, along with minor surface scuffs and slight discoloration that do not detract from its overall appearance. The pedestal is structurally sound, with no visible cracks or repairs, and is ready for immediate display in a well-appointed home. Its substantial stone construction gives it a solid, grounded feel. A versatile and timeless piece for collectors and designers alike. See less
