Just in, this very elegant large and comfortable pair of French Louis XV style fauteuil armchairs combining classic Louis XV proportions with a refreshed, transitional aesthetic.
Each armchair features a generously sized, cartouche-shaped padded backrest framed by meticulously molded wood. Sinuous, open padded armrests gracefully descend to meet a broad, serpentine-front overstuffed seat rail.
The hand-carved framework is highlighted by delicate floral crests on the top rail and coordinating foliate motifs carved directly into the central apron.
The chairs are supported by classic cabriole legs terminating in delicate scrolled feet.
Newly and expertly upholstered in a crisp, high-quality white linen fabric, this versatile pair beautifully balances antique architectural charm with modern brightness, making them an ideal statement for a contemporary living room, library, or bedroom seating arrangement.
