Each figure is rendered in fine detail, pale faces with expressive features, elaborate robes in deep green, orange, and blue, and gold crests scattered across the background.

The neck is decorated with a dense floral medallion in orange and green enamel dots against a scrolling navy pattern, bordered above and below by bands of fine gold striping. Twin handles rise from the shoulders in a sculptural cloud or foo-lion form, glazed in a soft ivory-grey that contrasts against the dark body. The rim is trimmed in gold. Marked “Made in Japan” on the underside in red. See less
