Each piece is built on a long, rectangular base with a vertical partition, forming an L-shaped structure. A large, turned wooden sphere is placed on the horizontal section; its rounded form provides a counterpoint to the structure’s straight lines.

The surfaces are finished in warm, honey-brown tones. The visible grain pattern, irregular discoloration, and natural variations in the wood emphasize the material character of the objects. The spheres are distinguished by their distinct grain and subtle, darker patterns, which give them a unique appearance. The combination of the geometric base with the full, rounded decorative form lends the supports the character of small sculptural objects.

The composition is based on structural simplicity, balanced proportions, and the deliberate use of natural materials. It exemplifies 1950s design, in which everyday objects took on expressive forms without excessive decoration. The bookends retain both their functional purpose and their independent visual appeal.
