The head is smooth and domed, with softly modeled features, a broad nose, and a cheerful, contented expression. A beaded necklace drapes across the chest in a row of tiny, raised pellets, and the full, relaxed belly curves outward beneath a flowing robe. The drapery falls in broad, simplified folds over the arms and lap, with one hand resting at the side and small details marking the sleeve and cuff. At the center, a shallow, rounded bowl is cradled against the torso and decorated with a pattern of tiny dots. The brass has a warm, mellow gold tone, with dark bronze shadows in the folds and a soft green-blue verdigris gathering in the recesses, especially around the necklace, bowl, and lower robe. Pitting, tiny flecks, and rubbed highlights add a worn, handled quality that suggests years of devotion and display. The simple, open form and generous proportions give it a calm, friendly presence.

Small yet substantial, this figurine suits a desk, bookshelf, console, entry table, or altar-style vignette, and the bowl can hold a small trinket, a coin, or incense. It complements Asian Modern, Chinoiserie, Eclectic, Boho Chic, and Hollywood Regency interiors. The figurine measures 3.75 inches (95 mm) wide, 2.75 inches (70 mm) deep, and 3 inches (76 mm) high. Condition is good: the brass shows a natural patina with some oxidation and minor surface wear consistent with age, and the piece is solid and intact with no significant damage. For care, dust with a soft dry cloth, avoid abrasive polishes and water, and leave the patina intact for an authentic, aged look. Inquire today to add this charming piece to your collection. See less
