Vintage Greg Olson Studio Pottery Floral Vase Art Nouveau Country Chic Signed
This is highly collectible piece of vintage California studio art pottery created by artisan Greg Olson at his Olson Stoneware studio in Weaverville, CA. Circa 1980s/90s.
This vintage piece is structurally excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It features a prominent, uniform network of fine crazing throughout the glossy glaze surface. This beautiful web-like crazing is completely normal for Olson's vintage mid-to-late 20th-century pottery and adds a wonderful, authentic aged character to the studio glaze.
This exquisite hand-thrown vase beautifully represents the American Studio Pottery movement, blending elements of an Art Nouveau revival with Cottagecore and Country Chic aesthetics.
Unlike his more common, heavy earth-tone stoneware collections, this piece features a lighter, romantic design. It showcases a smooth cream clay body adorned with fluid, organic hand-painted blush pink roses and sweeping green foliage. It has a romantic pastel rose motif with a coordinating pink rim stripe. The natural, asymmetrical botanical lines mirror the classic curves of the Art Nouveau movement, making it a stellar display piece for a rustic, farmhouse, or cottage-style interior.
Measurements: 5.5" T; 3.5" at it's widest; 4.5" depth; 2.75" vase rim; 2.5" base width; 1.75 vase opening.
