Named after English designer Charles Eastlake, this aesthetic emphasized geometric forms, incised carving, and honest construction. The style became immensely popular in America during the late 19th century, particularly for parlor and hall furniture.

Eastlake furniture appeals to collectors of Victorian decorative arts and those who appreciate American design history from the Gilded Age. These pieces are valued for their craftsmanship, distinctive aesthetic, and historical significance as examples of the reform movement in furniture design. Collectors and interior designers seeking authentic period pieces for Victorian-era homes or those creating eclectic interiors prize these tables for their versatility and architectural detail.
