Dating to the late 19th century, this stunning five drawer chest features gorgeous warm oak wood grain, an intricately carved decorative backsplash, ornate metal drawer pulls, and distinctive Victorian architectural detailing. Its rich natural finish and Eastlake design make it a wonderful statement piece for a traditional bedroom, historic home, or thoughtfully decorated living space.

Beautifully constructed with traditional Knapp joints, this antique chest showcases the quality craftsmanship of American furniture from the late 1800s. The recessed paneled sides, decorative wooden accents, and charming sunburst carving add character, while five spacious drawers provide practical storage for clothing, linens, and everyday essentials. Its tall, relatively narrow proportions make it an excellent choice for spaces where vertical storage is especially valuable. This is a great example of authentic Victorian furniture that combines historical charm with everyday functionality.

Please keep in mind that this is a very old piece. It’s not going to look fresh off the line. That being said, I’d like to point out some imperfections for the purpose of complete transparency. There is scratching throughout. There are significant imperfections on the top. There are imperfections on the sides and legs. There are imperfections on the body of the piece. The insides of the drawers are far from pristine. Detailed photos have been taken for complete transparency.

I do invite you to zoom in on the photos. We do business with integrity but don’t always catch every tiny detail that a potential buyer may find significant. The ideal buyer for this is going to love the style and character of the piece. This could be an amazing addition to your space!
