This exclusive pair of Christmas trees stands 34 cm tall and was entirely handmade in Italy.
The sheet iron, intentionally thin and soft, was shaped and cut freehand without the aid of a laser. This sartorial process gives the profiles a vibrant, poetic imperfection that only craftsmanship can provide.
The deep, warm rust patina is the result of a slow, natural oxidation process in the open air, guided by the expert use of dedicated reagents that make the surface alive and tactile.
The tree is enhanced by a star, also made of sheet metal, hand-painted in ivory to match the colors of the balls and harmonize the entire composition.
The lightweight boules are a microcosm of history: covered with precious fragments of old fabrics and hand-assembled vintage lace, embellished with small rust details, and defined by a luminous vintage glass drop pendant that captures and refracts the light. Both are unique and non-replicable.
The sculptures are intended for indoor use only.
The base of each tree has been treated with a special transparent protective finish that isolates rust. This precaution allows the works to be placed safely even on delicate furniture or fine fabrics (it is strictly recommended not to wet them or expose them to humidity to avoid reactivating the oxidation).
Thanks to the expert craftsmanship of the thin sheet metal, the trees maintain a light overall weight and are therefore extremely easy to move and ideal for enhancing shelves, consoles, or fireplaces without weighing down the surfaces.
To ensure the complete integrity of the pieces during transport, the textile boules will be removed and individually protected in careful packaging. Upon arrival, the customer can quickly and easily reposition them on the tree using their original string.
Small discolorations may be present on the rusted surface because the natural oxidation process does not guarantee complete uniformity, which is a testament to their craftsmanship. See less
