The outer ring has script reading "donated by gegeben von Georg Enzinger OB 1962 and the lower ring reads " Win by Michael Ertlidt" These decorative wooden targets are part of a long standing tradition across southern Germany, Bavaria and Austria. This specific plaque was a ceremonial master target. The members of the club would each take a single shot at it and the shooter whose bullet landed closest to the exact center was crowned the Shooting King for that season. The hole in the middle of the target represents the winning shot that concluded the tournament. See less
