Vintage Chinese Ming-style lounging rocking chair, often referred to as a "moon-gazing" or "star-gazing" rocker. This piece seamlessly combines traditional Eastern furniture design with functional comfort.
The chair features a classic "Official's Hat" (Guanmaoyi) yoke-top crest rail and a central vertical back splat beautifully carved with a circular Shou (寿) character, the traditional symbol for longevity and good health. Designed with a deeply reclined profile, sweeping scroll armrests, and an open lower apron with subtle cloud-carved accents, this chair offers an incredibly relaxing, ergonomic sit. It is crafted from a durable, attractively grained hardwood with a warm, natural honey-brown finish.
