The stone is softly translucent, ranging from creamy celadon and pale lime to deeper mossy green, with mottled, crystalline veining that glows where light passes through the open-worked areas. Small carved blossoms crest the shoulders of the column, while a rough, faceted finial in matching green stone rises above a pierced brass collar. The collar is chased with delicate floral scrollwork and carries a warm, mellow patina of antique gold and chocolate brown. Beneath the column, a carved rosewood-toned stand with openwork branch and foliage motifs cradles the stone, lending a rich reddish-brown contrast.
