Set of six antique stamped brass bail pulls, four complete and two missing bails,. Pulls feature a striking figural face with a furrowed brow and curling streams of air flowing from the mouth, an apparent depiction of the North Wind. The face is framed by swirling scrollwork and topped with a crown of scrolls and a central rosette.
Likely made c. 1890-1910, in the late Victorian to early Art Nouveau transition. The plates are thin die-stamped brass, a typical production method of the era. Threaded posts and nuts appear to be original. Second photo shows back sides. Unmarked.
