A spectacular, collector-grade four-piece vintage bedroom suite from the highly coveted Drexel Heritage Esperanto collection. Introduced in the mid-1960s and designed by the acclaimed Jim Peed, the Esperanto line is a masterclass in Spanish Revival and Mediterranean Modernism. This cohesive set includes a majestic highboy tall chest, a commanding 9-drawer triple dresser, and a matching pair of symmetrical 2-drawer nightstands.
Crafted from premium pecan and rich walnut veneers, each piece features the collection's iconic deeply carved, recessed geometric block panels that create a sculptural, architectural front facade. The top surfaces are beautifully detailed with signature exposed decorative finger-jointing (interlocking box joints) along the edges, showcasing exceptional mid-century American craftsmanship.
Every drawer boasts heavy, original inset brass rosette hardware pulls centered perfectly within the wood reliefs. Built with heavy-duty dovetail joinery, all drawers glide effortlessly and bear the authentic "HERITAGE" manufacturer branding stamp. For practical ease, the massive highboy and triple dresser rest on solid plinth bases with their original hidden internal casters, allowing them to be moved smoothly despite their substantial weight.
Passed down through the family, these exceptional pieces were discovered tucked away in my grandmother's attic after her passing. They have been beautifully preserved, maintaining their original warm, amber-toned wood finish. This heirloom-quality set makes a breathtaking architectural statement in a primary suite, or the triple dresser can easily double as a stunning dining room buffet or media credenza.

The wood surfaces retain a gorgeous, warm original luster with beautiful grain variation. Structurally rock-solid with tight joinery throughout. • Nightstands: One nightstand exhibits a noticeable cosmetic wood chip along the lower structural corner framing/trim edge as shown in the detail photos. The tops and backs show minor surface scuffs, but the underlying wood remains solid. • Case Pieces: The back panels retain their original stamped factory serial numbers (121 615-1 / 971). Stamping and minor superficial edge scuffs are present along the base plinths from moving, typical of mid-century case pieces. No deep water rings, structural warping, or major gouges on the primary presentation tops. All drawers slide beautifully and all original brass hardware is present. less
