The table has had old professional restorations; we have applied a couple of coats of hard paste wax in the European style which brings out the gorgeous grain of the wood and accentuates the deep natural patina of the walnut. The carved solid walnut legs and stretchers combined with the thick 20" wide board of the thick walnut slab top are all design elements of Italian Baroque furniture. The writing table is ready for its next home and would integrate perfectly into a variety of settings--Italian, French or Spanish inspired by 18th century. See less
