The square top features a beautifully book-matched veneer arranged in a geometric diamond formation, creating a striking symmetrical grain pattern across the surface. The understated form and clean lines are characteristic of practical British post-war furniture design. The top is supported by a cleverly engineered folding X-frame base, allowing the entire table to collapse flat when not required and making it particularly convenient for storage. Compact yet sturdy, the table is highly versatile and can function as a card or games table, occasional table, lamp table or compact dining table for two. Presented in good vintage condition, with light surface wear and minor marks consistent with age and use. The folding mechanism operates correctly and the structure remains solid.
