Charming and tactile, this vintage carved wood smiling face box brings a playful Boho accent and handcrafted character to a shelf, console, bedside table, or desk. The rounded wooden form features a warmly expressive face with delicately rendered features and a fine, consistent grain that follows the subtle curves of the carving. Its lid fits seamlessly, preserving the integrity of the smiling-face design while keeping the piece functional for small-item storage. A warm natural patina and original finish give the box an inviting sense of age, while the compact scale makes it easy to layer with books, objects, or other collected accessories.
Measuring 4.5 inches wide by 5.75 inches deep by 5.75 inches high, this decorative box offers useful storage without overwhelming a tabletop. The original finish remains intact, with minor surface scuffs and light age-related wear, particularly on the base. The box is structurally sound, with no significant damage or repairs noted. Its honest patina, carved facial motif, and tactile wood construction make it a distinctive vintage accent for interiors that appreciate warmth, humor, and well-made decorative objects.
