Artistic Statement:
This work centers on an egg-like shell form, its upper surface gently fissured as if something is emerging from within. A branch reaches outward from the opening, capturing the very moment of breaking free—a new life pushing through toward the light. The shell itself is dense and solid, evoking the weight of time and the forces of nature; the branch that rises from it speaks of resilience, growth, and the instinct to ascend. The piece dwells in that charged interval between stillness and rupture—the silence before breakthrough, and the hope that follows.
Note on Foliage:
This work is shipped with a high-quality artificial plant. Due to international shipping restrictions on live botanical specimens, we are unable to send a living plant with the artwork. Buyers are therefore presented with two flexible options upon receipt:
1. Keep the artificial plant – no watering, pruning, or sunlight required; the composition remains frozen at its most graceful moment with zero maintenance.
2. Replace with a living plant – buyers may source their preferred bonsai variety locally (such as dwarf podocarpus, elm, or ficus) and plant it directly into the designated planting cavity within the sculpture.
Both approaches fully honor the design and aesthetic intent of the work. Your choice will ultimately determine the final expression of this piece.
