This Wedgwood transferware plate depicts the historic Old State House in Boston, Massachusetts.
Wedgwood is world-renowned for its high-quality earthenware and transfer-printed designs, particularly the classic cobalt blue 'historical' series that became highly popular for souvenir and commemorative purposes in the 20th century. The craftsmanship is characterized by detailed, crisp transfer printing set against a dense, ornate floral border, which is a hallmark of Wedgwood's decorative style. Collectors value these plates for their historical Americana themes and the enduring reputation of the Wedgwood brand.
