this piece is crafted from solid walnut with rounded curves and carved motifs: floral scrolls, acanthus leaves, and shells. The large four-drawer chest features cabriole legs with pronounced reliefs and a scrolled finish typical of the louis xv style. The piece is straight, with rounded uprights on the front. Each drawer has two attractive gilt handles and a keyhole escutcheon. The locks are original and functional; one key is included. The top is made of light green-veined marble with rounded corners and a slightly scalloped front. The dressing table section rests on the marble and is fixed in place: a mirror framed by two small drawers. The attractive, original mirror is beveled around the entire edge and set in a decorated walnut frame, finished at the top with a scallop shell motif. Antique furniture, beautiful quality materials and craftsmanship. The set has been treated against insects as a precaution but remains unaffected; it is sound, stable, and sturdy. The drawers open and close smoothly, suitable for everyday use.
matching bed and nightstand sold separately.
