The chairs are made using the traditional bentwood technique closely associated with Central European furniture production since the late 19th century. Their design combines elegantly curved structural elements with vertical slats and unusually broad, sculptural armrests. Particularly attractive are the sweeping bentwood supports beneath the arms, which give the chairs a strong architectural silhouette when viewed from the side.
The round wooden seats feature a decorative linear pattern, while the warm brown finish emphasizes the grain and curved construction of the wood. Although rooted in the tradition of classic Viennese café furniture and Thonet-style bentwood production, the proportions and expressive armrests give these chairs a distinctive character of their own.
A decorative and functional pair of vintage bentwood chairs, suitable as dining chairs, occasional chairs or accent seating in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
