A small footed bowl turned from alabaster, banded in brass at the rim. It stands on its own short pedestal, so it reads taller than it is wide and holds what you put in it up rather than hiding it. The stone keeps its natural veining and takes the light differently from every side.
Sized for a coffee table or a shelf — keys, stones, a handful of matchboxes.
4 in across and 3.5 in high. Sold singly.
The Italian attribution travels with the piece rather than from a mark on it; we have not had it examined.
