Rooster forms with hand-painted details in De Simone's signature vibrant colors of orange, red, turquoise, teal, azure, purple, yellow, and green.
This piece's aesthetic was heavily influenced by Pablo Picasso (whom Giovanni De Simone greatly admired). It is an amalgam of Italian folk art (simplicity, inaccuracy and crudeness of subject) with modernism in the use of color and shape.
Excellent, vintage condition.
Signed "Desimone" on the reverse with the model number "164/F."
