An impressive 14-inch Italian majolica charger from Deruta, celebrated for its centuries-old tradition of decorative ceramics.
This richly ornamented example features a striking Renaissance-inspired design with scrolling acanthus-style foliage, stylized mythical creatures, floral rosettes, and a symmetrical central medallion.
The vibrant palette of cobalt blue, golden yellow, rust red, and green is particularly appealing against the creamy white ground. A broad, elaborately decorated border gives the piece substantial visual presence.
Hand-painted and signed Dipinto a Mano – Deruta on the reverse.
An exceptional decorative accent for a dining room, kitchen, or collected interior. Beautiful displayed on a wall, on a plate stand, or layered into an entertaining vignette.
