Fabulous Latina GP piston swivel stool, designed in 2003 by the Italian engineering and industrial design team Renzo Fauciglietti and Graziella Bianchi, and manufactured by the Italian furniture brand Frag. It's also distributed in North America by Design Within Reach (DWR) as the Bottega Piston Stool.
This minimalist stool features a 360-degree swivel mechanism alongside an adjustable gas lift that easily transitions between counter and bar height using a small lever underneath the seat. The sturdy steel pedestal column rests on a clean, square chromed steel base plate. An oval-shaped steel footrest in chrome finish is permanently affixed to the central column, ensuring comfortable leg support regardless of how high or low the stool is adjusted.
It is renowned for its hand-sewn, stain-resistant saddle leather upholstery enveloping a flexible backrest engineered with an internal spring steel core for responsive lumbar support.
