Elegant vintage French crystal bud vase by Baccarat, attributed to the “Grain de Riz” (“Rice Grain”) pattern and dating from the 1970s.
This slender cylindrical soliflore is crafted from clear Baccarat crystal and decorated with scattered elongated hand-cut facets resembling grains of rice, creating subtle flashes of light across the otherwise minimalist surface.
The simple architectural form, substantial crystal base and delicate cut decoration give the piece a refined modern appearance characteristic of Baccarat design of the period.
Comparable examples of this model with identical dimensions are documented on the decorative arts market as Baccarat “Rice Grain” soliflore vases from the 1970s.
The underside bears the acid-etched circular Baccarat France mark, confirming its manufacture by Baccarat.
The vase shows visible signs of previous use, including surface scratches and mineral/calcium deposits, particularly noticeable when viewed against a dark background or under direct light. These traces are clearly illustrated in the detailed photographs and have been taken into account in the pricing.
No major structural damage is apparent in the photographs; buyers are invited to review all images carefully for condition.
