Here is a sculptural Art Deco Revival console table, dating to the later part of the 20th c. The double stacked top features richly figured burlwood veneer in warm golden tones, with dramatic swirling grain patterns and darker accents.
The table rests on a sweeping curved pedestal with a glossy black lacquer-like finish. It is supported by a beautifully shaped burlwood veneered base, raised at the center with gently curved edges that sweep outward toward the ends. The contrast between the warm, richly patterned wood and polished black finish further emphasizes its architectural silhouette.
This console has the presence of a sculptural work of art, bringing a distinctly editorial sensibility to any interior.
