A handsome pair of mid-century modern bentwood café dining chairs manufactured by ZPM Radomsko in Poland, circa 1950s/1960s. Featuring a classic sleek European profile, these chairs are designed with curved plywood backrests, round seats, and sturdy tapered legs.
Provenance & Authentication Note:
ZPM Radomsko factories were historic centers for Polish bentwood manufacturing, producing iconic designs using original Thonet machinery and techniques.
While the original paper labels under the frame rail were largely scraped over by a previous owner, the remaining text fragments preserve the verifiable factory export markings, explicitly showing the "RA... L" (Radomsko) stamping, Model Number "604", and the "A I" state export quality classification mark.
These frames are exceptionally solid with excellent structural integrity, making them the ultimate "Restorer's Choice" project pieces for a dealer or design enthusiast looking to customize a classic mid-century set.
