A historic Cold War cultural collaboration that brought together works from American and Soviet museum collections for the first time.

Henri Matisse exhibition poster, "Matisse in Morocco." The poster depicts Matisse's painting "Window at Tangier". The original of this painting hangs in the Pushkin Museum in Moscow

An authentic, original 1990 vintage exhibition poster produced for "Matisse in Morocco: The Paintings and Drawings, 1912–1913, A USA/USSR Joint Project." This historical cultural exchange exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, in cooperation with Soviet cultural museums.
The poster beautifully showcases Matisse's famous 1912 Fauvist oil painting, Window at Tangier (Landscape Viewed from a Window), capturing the deep, vibrant blue tones and striking composition inspired by his stay in North Africa.
Printed on heavy-weight, gallery-grade paper stock, this striking oversized display piece makes an incredible mid-century modern design statement.
