A matching pair of early 20th-century Japanese porcelain cabinet or dessert plates hand-painted by Noritake. The plates feature a clean white porcelain ground framed by a soft pink border detailed with painted magenta ribbon swags and vines. The shoulder of each plate is hand-embellished with raised gold moriage medallions showcasing a textured, high-relief floral motif. The outer rims are hand-gilded with a thin gold accent edge. Both plates include individual wire display stands.
The underside carries the authentic antique green circular "Imperial Nippon Hand Painted" backstamp, dating the manufacture of this porcelain pair between 1895 and 1915 prior to the standardized Noritake name transition.
