Here is a fabulous vintage sculptural chrome floor ashtray, featuring a streamlined Mid-Century Modern design with a distinctive curved lifting mechanism and contrasting black bowl.
The slender chrome pedestal rises from a circular stepped base, supporting a black bowl with a wide chrome rim. A sweeping curved arm connects to a vertical rod topped with fantastic ball finials, creating an architectural silhouette with a Space Age, modern influence.
The chrome lid features two molded rests for cigarettes or cigars and lifts by pulling upward on the top finial, revealing a recessed chrome bowl beneath. When lowered, the lid conceals the interior.
Both functional and sculptural, this unusual floor ashtray makes an interesting addition to a vintage lounge, home bar or eclectic interior.
