This vibrant earthenware bowl features the highly collectible "Amstel" pattern, meticulously conceived by the celebrated art director Frederick Alfred Rhead during his tenure at Bursley Pottery in Staffordshire. The entire bowl is adorned with a hand-painted, all-over patter showcasing stylized songbirds, butterflies and organic foliage. Rendered in a rich palette of deep cobalt blue, warm ochre, earth tones and dark tube-lined borders, it encapsulates the transitional aesthetic shifting from late Art Nouveau into bold Art Deco geometry. The underside bears the authentic printed pattern and factory back stamp. This piece has an attribution mark,
