Each pot is formed from painted sheet metal with a gently tapered body and a broad, flaring mouth. The rim is edged in a fine twisted-rope trim in antique gold. The exterior is painted in a buttery, creamy yellow and decorated with a monochrome toile-style motif of a classical urn overflowing with blossoms, ribbons, and trailing foliage, with a bird perched at its edge. The engraving-like linework in sepia, mauve, and soft gray has mellowed into a dreamy, time-worn haze, and faint scattered leaf sprigs drift across the background. A deeper gilded band wraps the flared collar, and the inside is a pale, chalky ivory. Black metal ring handles are fitted at the sides, though one handle is missing on one pot. A stepped foot sits on small round ball feet. Chipped paint, exposed metal, and mottled fading along the rims and bases give the pair a convincingly aged, collected character.

Sized for tabletops and floors alike, these pots work as planter covers, ice buckets, or umbrella and magazine holders, and they suit an entry, sunroom, kitchen, or mantel. They complement French Provincial, Country French, Hollywood Regency, Cottage, and Traditional interiors. Each pot measures 10 inches wide, 10 inches deep, and 7.5 inches high. Condition is fair: the original painted finish shows age-appropriate fading, chips, and surface wear, particularly at the rims and bases, and one handle is missing. For care, dust with a soft dry cloth, avoid water and cleaners on the painted surface, and use a liner or plastic insert for live plants. Inquire today to secure this charming pair. See less
