A distinctive early 20th-century Arts & Crafts lounge chair featuring a commanding high-back silhouette, pronounced quarter-sawn oak grain, and striking architectural construction.

The unusual design features dramatic diagonal supports, triangular arm brackets, vertical side slats, a ladder back, and decorative turned finials. Its bold geometry recalls the experimental furniture of Charles P. Limbert, the Craftsman designs of Gustav Stickley, and the architectural principles of Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie School.

While the manufacturer and designer remain unidentified, the chair's distinctive construction makes it an intriguing example of early Arts & Crafts furniture. Originally designed for upholstered cushions, it offers excellent potential for custom upholstery or restoration.

Condition: Very solid and structurally sound, with age-appropriate surface wear and evidence of previous regluing and repairs. Original cushions are missing, and the seat support has been replaced with plywood. Two front swivel casters have been removed because one wheel is missing; both are included.
