Vintage 1950s Swedish modern lounge chair recently imported from Sweden. The frame is distinguished by gently angled legs, open sides, and beautifully shaped darker armrests that provide a striking contrast against the surrounding wood. The chair is very similar in design to Hans Wegner's classic "Cigar Chair".
The sprung cushions have been professionally refurbished with Hallingdal 65 - 0166 designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel for Danish textile maker Kvadrat. Hallingdal 65-0166 is a classic black-and-white wool textile with a crisp, finely textured weave. The tailored seat and back cushions preserve the chair’s clean Scandinavian profile while providing exceptional comfort and durability.
