A distinctive Balinese bossed gong, identified by its accompanying old handwritten dealer tag as an antique instrument from a community gamelan orchestra in Padangtegal, Bali.
Its broad circular face, prominent rounded boss, and deep tapering sides create a compelling sculptural silhouette. The textured dark surface contrasts beautifully with its golden-toned center, lending warmth and character to a collected library, study, or layered living room.

Acquired from a private estate with an old handwritten dealer tag attached. The tag identifies the piece as an “antique nipple gong” from a community—or banjar—gamelan orchestra in Padangtegal, Bali, and describes it as approximately 120 years old when written.
The tag accompanies the piece and preserves the previous dealer’s recorded history. Its precise date and author are unknown; the stated age and orchestra ownership have not been independently verified.
