Its generously proportioned body is formed from thick, heavy crystal, intricately cut with a geometric pattern that catches and reflects the light beautifully.

The crystal body is complemented by a polished metal collar, fitted lid, and graceful arched swing handle. A petite finial crowns the lid, adding a particularly elegant finishing detail. The combination of brilliant crystal and gleaming metal gives the piece a wonderful presence, whether displayed on a dining room sideboard, drinks table, or traditional English country interior.

Measures approximately 6.5 inches high, 6 inches wide, and 5 inches deep. Weighs just under 3 pounds. Good antique condition, a few small edge chips to glass and light age-related wear to metal. Please review the photos for further condition assessment.

Originally intended for serving and storing biscuits, the jar is equally appealing today as a decorative vessel or sophisticated addition to a collection of antique crystal and tableware. Its substantial weight—just under 3 pounds—reinforces the quality of the glass and gives the piece an impressive, luxurious feel in hand.

Dating to approximately the 1920s, it captures the transition between Edwardian refinement and the cleaner geometric sensibilities that would come to define the Art Deco era. Both functional and highly decorative, it is a handsome survivor from the golden age of elegant entertaining. See less
